May Favorites!

Did the month of May even happen?! I feel like it flew right by and it was here and gone in a week! My monthly favorites for May are going to be all over the place & I didn’t really buy that many new products but I used a lot of the stuff I’ve had from previous purchases. I also cannot believe that we’re almost halfway through 2015 already ?! On the bright side, Summer is in sight and with it being 2 days into June, the weather here in Ohio has been awful – cloudy, rainy and in the mid 50’s -_- So, with all that being said, I hope everyone had a great May & I hope June is even better!

FitBook – 20$ at Target

IMG_0255

My first favorite is my FitBook! I’ve been obsessed with this thing ever since I bought it and I really feel like it helps me keep track of my food & workouts all while staying on track. There’s so many great things about this book like the goal setting pages with the rewards for reaching your goals and also the inspiration page! I always log my workouts as soon as I get home and I feel like when you see a full page of different movements, it’s a feeling of accomplishment. I love this book and I really do feel like it’s made a difference in my fitness goals & motivation. They sell them at Target as well as online & if you feel sometimes your motivation isn’t there, get one of these & I think you’ll see a difference in your workout schedule and also your diet!

Too Faced Sugar Pop palette – 36$ at Sephora

IMG_0256

This palette looks intimidating, I know – but it’s so pretty and I think it’s the best palette for the summer time because there’s so many fun colors and looks you could do with this. I’ve done both a neutral eye look and a fun pop of blue look with this and I can’t get over how pigmented these shadows are and how easy they were to blend. I’d been really wanting to get this palette for the longest time but I couldn’t get over the thought I had in the back of my mind of “You’re going to look like a clown with all those colors on your eye” – but luckily my boyfriend was nice enough to get it for me & I can’t put this thing down now. Too Faced always has great palettes and this one is nothing short of amazing. Life’s too short for boring makeup!

6 Pack Fitness Camille Sport Tote – 100$ on sixpackbags.com (color is currently out of stock 😦 )

IMG_0257IMG_0258IMG_0259

To say I’m obsessed with this bag is an understatement. This bag is perfect for anywhere and the color is adorable. It carries 4 meals, water bottles, pills, books, blankets, tanning lotion, supplements – anything you could possibly need to take with you. I’m so excited to take it to Florida at the end of June so I can use it as a beach bag and also take whatever meals & food I want to take with me. It has a zipper closure at the top of the bag so you can keep all of your stuff from falling out, 7 different pockets on the inside for water bottles, money, pills, powders or anything else and 4 meal compartments in the back that came with 3 ice packs. I like this bag because it’s much more functional than carrying around the original bags they made that look like gigantic lunch boxes on steroids. This one isn’t too big, but definitely has room for everything & again – the color!

Pureology Strength Cure line – Ulta

IMG_0261

So I was running low on my normal shampoo & conditioner and my mom was nice enough to pick this line up for me at Ulta a few weeks ago. Since I’ve been using all 3, my hair has never felt better. This stuff is expensive, even the smaller bottles are about 35$ a pop, but it’s expensive for a reason. I’ve put my hair through so much and it was so dry and damaged and just didn’t look nice, but when I started using this, I noticed my hair wasn’t breaking or falling out as much and my ends looked less dry and damaged. I also stopped brushing my hair out when it’s wet, I stopped using so much heat and I put Argan oil in it every night before I go to bed & I’ve really seen a transformation in my hair. This is easily my favorite shampoo, conditioner and leave in that I’ve ever used & I’ve really noticed a difference in how my hair feels since I’ve been using this.

Shields of Strength Ladies Tiffany Blue Weight Plate in Stainless Steel – 59$

IMG_0262

I haven’t been able to take this necklace off since I bought it. Not only am I clearly obsessed with this blue color that I’ve seemed to buy everything in, but the verse on the back really serves as a great reminder everyday that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This company has a really great back story and they always go out of their way to show support to people in need & their athletes. I have a whole post on them and their story! Their products are amazing quality and they’re so unique. If you’re interested in purchasing from them, visit this link and when you sign up you’ll get 10% off your purchase!

MyFitnessPal – free in the app store!

IMG_0263

This app in coordination with my FitBook has really helped me stay on track with my eating habits. If I’m out and about and I don’t have my book with me I can enter it in MyFitnessPal and transfer it later. It gives you the calories and macros which are really important ! I haven’t found anything that wasn’t in MyFitnessPal and they added a new feature where you can scan the barcode on any products and it brings up the information so you don’t have to search for it ! All you have to do is enter a few things in the information part and it gives you your macros and daily recommended calorie intake – or you can manually enter your macros if you know what you’re supposed to be eating! This app really helps & also when you log your food, you can cut up to 500-1000 calories in a day!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone – 38$ at Sephora

IMG_0265

So I know for the longest time everyone was obsessed with Opal, but it really never looked very good on my skin tone and just looked way too gold for my liking. So when I found Moonstone, I was in love. First off, these blend like a dream and look so natural on your skin. They have zero glitter, sparkle, anything and they just give such a pretty glow to your cheek bones. Moonstone is definitely good for anyone that has a fair skin tone or pink undertones because it’s much lighter and less gold than Opal. Becca has come out with so many of these now & they’re all so pretty, but this one is by far my favorite and I can’t seem to stop using it every time I do my makeup! I’d definitely try any of these if you’re in the market for a really pretty, natural highlighter!

Whirlybird Vanilla Berry Granola – 8$ at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market (also seen it at Kroger)

IMG_0268

This granola is SOOOOOO good! It has locally harvested maple syrup, rolled oats, organic agave nectar, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, vanilla and dried blueberries in it and it’s the best granola I’ve had to date. They have a couple different flavors but I’m obsessed with blueberries so I had to try this one first. It’s pretty good for you too with only 150 calories, 6g fat, & 8g sugar per serving! I always pre-measure my food out so if I know I’ll be out and about I’ll take a serving or two with me and it’s a great snack (eating some right now as we speak). It’s also delicious over greek yogurt with strawberries! Not to mention you can actually pronounce and recognize all of the ingredients in it! I’m really anxious to try the other flavors as well, but so far this one’s gonna be hard to beat!

Nike Dri-fit Athletic Cut v-neck – 25$ at Dick’s Sporting Goods

IMG_0267

These are really comfortable and it honestly took me a while to get something different to wear to the gym because I usually just wear shorts and an old soccer t-shirt because I have 500 of them and it was just easy to grab. My gym gets REALLY hot in the summer because it’s an old warehouse and there’s no A/C, only a few windows and a Big Ass Fan (literally, that’s what it’s called). So I figured I’d give these a try because they had great reviews and they looked really breathable. They 100% are both comfortable and breathable. I don’t know what took me so long to jump on this bandwagon but I’m on it & I want every color they have. I’ve had the normal Nike pro t-shirts but those get so hot because they’re basically a compression shirt & that’s just not comfortable – plus they would irritate my armpits cause the sleeves were so high cut. But these are so amazing & I think they’re great for the summer!

Flex Til You’re Famous clothing – flextyfamous.com

IMG_0269

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to talk about them because I’ve been buying from their drops for a long time now. They have a drop one Friday a month where they come out with limited edition t-shirts, tanks, shorts, crops, hats, shoes, etc & their stuff is the bomb. It’s great quality & they have some really great apparel. They only make a limited amount of each item & when they release it in a drop, when it’s gone it’s gone until they bring it back or have a pre-order. They’re having a release this Friday so if you want to get some stuff I would recommend it! Visit this link to get on their mailing list & visit their instagram: @flextyfamous

The Protein Cookie Company – theproteincookiecompany.com (variety pack – 20$)

IMG_2531

I haven’t tried many protein cookies, but these I will not stray from. They are delicious! I was so skeptical in trying these cause honestly anything with “protein” in it usually tastes disgusting – but not these! They honestly taste like normal cookies & they are pretty healthy for you (won’t ruin your diet). I usually ate them after a workout or if I just wanted a cookie randomly throughout the day. They’re HUGE too! They aren’t a tiny little cookie, you get a pretty good sized cookie & they’re all around 250 calories a pop & about 18-20g of protein. I got the variety pack which included chocolate chip, peanut butter chip, oatmeal raisin, trail mix, dark cocoa chocolate chip & dark cocoa peanut butter chip. I loved them all except the trail mix one which had a little too many seeds in it for my liking, but the cookie flavor itself was really good. I also normally HATE oatmeal raisin, but this one was delicious (yes, when I grabbed it I thought it was chocolate chip LOL – trust issues!!!!) These are overall really great & I’ve already ordered my second round of them!

Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet – 75$-98$ at Sephora

IMG_0270

I wasn’t going to include this because honestly, you can’t smell it over a computer? But I couldn’t help it cause I’ve worn it almost everyday since April. It’s smells so amazing & it’s got a nice floral scent without making you smell like you just ran through a field of flowers. It’s a very sophisticated scent & I get compliments every single time I wear it. Next time you’re in Sephora or wherever, smell it! I promise you’ll become obsessed !

I told you these favorites were going to be all over the place, lol. Nonetheless, I hope these made you want to try something new in June ! Let me know some of your favorites or if you’ve also tried some of the products I’ve mentioned and how you like them! As always, thanks for reading (:
